Default A couple of things to sort out JQ

Ok, these are some issues that have been bugging me for a while now and I think that resolving them would make Jade Quarry a much more enjoyable experience:

1) Sort out the bridge bug.
As a ranger, line of sight is very important and when I'm standing next to the enemy looking him straight in the eye it is rather irritating to get the message "obstructed" rather than savaging that ever so tempting RoJ. This has been an issue for a long time and has ramifications for all of the game, including GvG, HA, PvE, HB, AB, etc etc etc.
It just strikes me as being pretty important in JQ where many builds rely upon a single long cast skill to work and if the ranger has a legitimate line of sight but cannot stop the opposing player then its a little unfair.

2) Stop the pinging whenever a jade carrier is attacked.
Its unneccasery, noone really pays attention to it and it just leads to headaches. Furthermore, often it is difficult to ascertain which carrier is under attack, so its not clear how to react.
Maybe have a message that appears in the chat log saying "Green Hauler Turtle is under attack!" and which can only appear every 30s or so.

3) Get the green turtle unstuck!
Sort out the pathing problem that the green turtle occasionally has where he gets stuck. Pretty simple, Im sure. Its just unfair.


If anyone else has any suggestions, feel free to add them. Im not saying these are the most dramatic problems facing the game right about now, but they are important for the context of JQ. (and the bridge bug is important for the whole game).

First to talk about number one. This can't be fixed because guild wars has no z axis. I am 99.999% sure you weren't right next to him. But rather one of you on one side of the bridge and the other person on the other side of the bridge. If that is the case then what I said plays no role into it. You can't hit him because the bridge is curved up in the middle and the arrows can't fly through the middle of the bridge.

Then number three. This doesn't only happen to turtles get over yourself. While I agree that they need to fix it. Don't only look at one side because you only play on one side. Biased aproaches are biased /closed

I've noticed that when I or my target is hugging one edge of the bridge, arrows don't hit regardless of other circumstances. Nothing else about the bridges seems to be problematic.

I'm not crazy about removing the juggernaut pings, because they're signaled in different colors than player pings, and the only ones I even bother paying attention to are ones I can visibly see on my compass.

I think juggernauts and turtles both have some pathing issues in some case with getting stuck. It would be nice to see that fixed.

1) Sort out the bridge bug. Z-Axis issue. Maybe fixed in GW2???

2) Stop the pinging whenever a jade carrier is attacked. Very important to have the pinging. I, personally, always use it. Its really pinging if there's enemy in the proximity.

3) Get the green turtle unstuck! Purple Carrier and Yellow Carrier do get stuck a few times on Kurzick side. I have seen Green carrier getting stuck many times as well while playing for Luxons.

What JQ (and FA) really needs is active GM intervention for a few days randomly and ANET needs to stop wasting time and money to figure out automated game management process.

I like trapping through the bridge, though...

What it needs, like Vel suggested, is some intervention to sort out the bots and leechers once and for all.

JQ needs it so you have to sit there and cap the Quarry the other ranger shines can still be insta cap once something is dead but the quarrys them selfs need to be were you need to cap them. this will remove a lot of the rojs and necro bombers.

just make the AI scatter from Ray of Judgment. thats all i ask, im sick of the kamikaze monks. at least necro bombers have to have an entire build devoted to capping, and enchantment removal/cripple ruins them.
